The Hay Loft
Completed in June 2023, this unique stone and granite structure, overlooking the courtyard, seamlessly blends traditional Cornish charm with modern comforts. With a fully equipped kitchen, luxurious shower room, and cozy wood-burning stove, The Hay Loft ensures a tranquil and comfortable stay, enriched by its historic character and contemporary amenities.
The Corner Cottage
Step into our charming 17th-century former Farm Cottage, where exposed granite monoliths, a wood-burning stove, and rustic beams evoke a sense of timeless allure. Featuring a king-sized bed, fully equipped kitchen, and modern luxury shower room, it offers a cozy retreat for two. Relax in the small enclosed garden with a private Spa Hot Tub and enjoy outdoor dining with a charcoal WEBER barbecue.
The Old Dairy
Recently renovated with a blend of rustic charm and contemporary design, this former farm dairy shed boasts open vaulted ceilings and a spacious living area, perfect for relaxation. With a fully equipped kitchen, stylish ensuite bedroom, and bespoke lighting, The Old Dairy offers a memorable stay where traditional heritage meets modern luxury.

What we do & how we started
Oliver and Sam, who assumed ownership of Penbroath Retreats in January 2023, embarked on an exciting journey to enhance what is already a captivating destination. Their shared dream of owning a site in South West Cornwall has become a reality, and they are wholeheartedly dedicated to preserving and enriching the legacy of Penbroath.
As the custodians of this enchanting place, Oliver and Sam feel deeply fortunate to call Penbroath their home. Their passion for hospitality and their love for the area are evident in every detail of the retreat. With its rich hospitality history spanning over two decades, Penbroath has evolved from its origins as a dairy farm into a meticulously renovated complex of charming accommodations, housed within converted farm buildings.
Nestled amidst acres of serene countryside, Penbroath Retreats offers a sanctuary of peace and tranquility, providing an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Yet, despite its secluded setting, the retreat boasts modern amenities and comforts, ensuring a relaxing and rejuvenating stay for guests. With its central location in South West Cornwall, Penbroath provides easy access to the region’s many attractions, from stunning white sandy beaches to historic landmarks, inviting guests to explore and experience the wonders of this remarkable corner of England.

Pool House
Discover relaxation at Penbroath Retreats with access to our indoor heated swimming pool, available for all guests. The Pool House, a converted former farm shippon, offers a serene ambiance with reclaimed Cornish Delabole slate walls, ambient lighting, and piped music, creating the perfect retreat for swimmers of all levels. Open from May to October, enjoy a leisurely swim in the tranquil atmosphere, with extended late-night sessions on Tuesday and Thursday until 8.30pm for added convenience.

At Penbroath Retreats, we cater to your every need, including your furry friends’. Our communal laundry room offers convenient facilities such as a washing machine, tumble dryer, and even a beachwear/wetsuit wash & drip dry station, ensuring you’re prepared for any adventure. Plus, for our beloved canine guests, we’ve installed a bespoke dog wash station next to The Laundry, making it easy to rinse off after muddy walks or beach frolics. As a fully dog-friendly destination, complete with welcome baskets and enclosed garden areas, we prioritize the comfort and enjoyment of every member of your family, including the four-legged ones.
